Fellows receive ample procedural training and are skilled in these common ICU procedures:
- Arterial catheter placement
- Critical care ultrasound
- Central venous catheter placement
- Chest tube insertion and management
- Endotracheal intubation
- Thoracentesis
- Paracentesis
- Flexible bronchoscopy
- Endobronchial Ultrasound (PCCM only)
- Endobronchial and transbronchial biopsies (PCCM only)
Fellows with a special interest in more advanced procedural training have opportunity for certification in the following:
- Critical care echocardiography
- Robotic bronchoscopy certification on Ion system
- Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation
