IU Health Comprehensive Adult Didactic and Simulation ECMO Course
The IU Health Comprehensive ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) Course at IU Health Methodist Hospital is an intensive training program designed for healthcare professionals who manage patients requiring ECMO.
The course provides a robust foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of ECMO, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to initiate, manage, and troubleshoot ECMO therapy in a variety of clinical scenarios.

Structure
This is a comprehensive four day course from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every day and includes light breakfast refreshments, coffee and lunch each day.
Registration
Due to limited seats to ensure strong didactic and simulation, registration is on a first-come basis and must go through and be approved directly by the course director. Please contact the course director for more information and to secure a seat.
Cost
External attendance cost: $3,000. Please inquire about our internal course discount for IU Health employees.

The IU Health Comprehensive ECMO course provides all ELSO course objectives and simulation cases preparing clinicians to obtain ELSO Adult ECMO Practitioner Certification.

This course is also endorsed by the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization and covers the didactic and simulation portions for ELSO Adult ECMO Practitioner Certification (E-AEC).
