Application Process

Our three-year Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine (PCCM) Fellowship program and its two-year Critical Care Medicine (CCM) Track use the AAMC Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) Medicine and Pediatric Specialties Match.

  • With rare exceptions, we are unlikely to review applications from individuals who do not signal our program. This is true even if you have completed an Indiana University residency or have done an away rotation with us.
  • Due to how our program is funded, we are not able to accept applicants with an H1-B visa. J-1 visa holders are welcome to apply.

Required Materials

We require four letters of recommendation.

  • One must be from your residency program director (or department chair if not currently in residency).
  • At least two should be from pulmonary and critical care medicine faculty.
  • Strongest letters come from faculty who know you well and can speak to your clinical potential.

Please submit all USMLE or COMLEX scores.

DO graduates are not required to complete all three USMLE steps.

Your personal statement should reflect who you are and how you hope to grow your career in pulmonary and critical care medicine.
