The Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship program at the IU School of Medicine offers flexible training with broad clinical exposure to support diverse career goals.
The first year is comprised of 13 blocks of clinical training, split between pulmonary and critical care medicine. The second and third years are structured based upon each fellow's career goals. Those who join our T32 training grant will have 20 blocks of research time over the second and third years with the fourth year devoted entirely to research. Fellows not on the T32 grant will be given protected time for scholarly work and/or pursuing additional clinical training in specific areas of interest over their second and third years.
All fellows will have one half-day per week of outpatient pulmonary clinic for the duration of their training. Clinic locations alternate weekly between Eskenazi Health (our county hospital) and an alternate location with options for sub-subspecialty training, if desired.
