Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship

Welcome to the PCCM and CCM Fellowship programs at Indiana University School of Medicine! We appreciate your interest in our program and hope the information on this website gives you a clear understanding of our training experience, program structure and what you can expect as a fellow.

Our ACGME-accredited program offers two fellowship tracks: Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine (three years) and Critical Care Medicine (two years). You can find detailed information about each track throughout this site.

When people ask me to identify the greatest strength of our program, my answer is always the culture of our division. We place a high priority on fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, emphasizing interprofessional collaboration and teamwork, and recruiting individuals with diverse backgrounds, perspectives and life experiences.

Another strength of our program is its flexibility. We tailor each fellow's training experience to support their individual career goals, whether they aspire to become a physician-scientist, master clinician or clinical educator. Fellows have opportunities to participate in high-quality basic, clinical and quality improvement research while receiving outstanding clinical training. Upon graduation, our fellows are exceptionally well prepared for careers in pulmonary and critical care medicine or critical care medicine, wherever their professional paths may lead.
