MD Program

Bloomington is the largest IU School of Medicine campus outside of Indianapolis. With over 100 medical students in all four years of medical education, students enjoy the same high quality curriculum delivered on all IU School of Medicine campuses in basic mechanisms of disease, clinical science and health system science. The small class cohort allows for individualized attention and comradery amongst the students. The Health Sciences Building is collocated with the IU Health Bloomington Hospital, a 365-bed, level 3 trauma center, stroke and STEMI center, and nursing magnet hospital. This proximity allows medical students and the over 350 adjunct faculty to meet easily in both clinical and classroom settings.
