The Lumeng Lectureship is named in honor of Lawrence Lumeng, MD, who served as chief of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology for more than 20 years.

Gifts to this account are used to support pancreatic and biliary disease research. Today’s research will unlock tomorrow’s cures. Physicians and scientists in the Division of Gastroenterology at Indiana University School of Medicine know relying on existing science to care for patients is not enough. Private philanthropic support is critical to ensure advances in the understanding of pancreatic and biliary diseases that will ultimately improve diagnosis and treatments for patients.
