Resident Wellness
Our program believes that wellness at work is vital to optimize learning. We support this with the recommendations of our Wellness Committee that makes suggestions for how to make work life better combined with planning from our Social Committee that focuses on opportunities for connection outside of work. Taken together, our residents feel a part of a community that values them and provides choices for how they want to engage with our residency community.

Interest Groups and Activities
Our program believes strongly in the power of community and the rich representations of many different experiences. We encourage our trainees to seek out communities of support while also gaining competence interacting with those of different perspectives during daily training but also through formal training pathways and in affinity groups. A few examples of such opportunities that are open to all interested individuals include our wildly popular residency book club, the founding chapter of the Latino Association of Residents and Fellows, intramural soccer teams, Women in Residency and even a chat group for our botanically-minded residents called "Plant Parenthood."
