IU Health Bedford Hospital
IU Health Bedford Hospital is Indiana's largest critical access hospital and emergency room serving more than 22,000 patients. The hospital and attached primary and specialty clinics provide comprehensive care to its community and is the only hospital in Lawrence County. Members of this community are greatly appreciative to receive care near their home and would not receive care without the services that this hospital provides. As a resident, you will hone your skills managing the undifferentiated and critically ill patient here, without the additional resources you have at a larger hospital.
IU Health Paoli Hospital
Paoli Hospital is a 23-bed critical access hospital serving Orange County and the surrounding area of southern Indiana. The hospital and primary care clinics provides high quality medical care to just over 10,000 patients per year without many of the resources found at larger facilities. You will develop a strong rapport with your nursing colleagues, members of the community who will partner closely with you to provide care to the sickest of patients in this small town.
IU Health Residency Primary Care Clinic
The primary care clinic site will host our longitudinal resident continuity clinic. This is dedicated space on the west side of Bloomington for you to care for your primary care outpatients weekly. It will include two exam rooms per resident, desk and office space, electronic health records workstations, point of care lab testing, dedicated clinic nursing and collaborative space for team-based care and learning. The clinic is also staffed by residents and faculty in ancillary specialties such as pharmacy to provide holistic care to the patients.
