Graphic Designer
Brandon Van Hook serves as a graphic designer in the Office of Strategic Communications and Visual Media at Indiana University School of Medicine. In this role, he leads brand management and produces high-quality graphic design materials that support the school’s clinical, research and educational priorities. His work ensures visual consistency across platforms and strengthens the school’s identity through design that aligns with strategic objectives.
As part of the communications team, Brandon develops print and digital assets, manages brand standards and collaborates with colleagues across the statewide system to deliver clear, engaging and visually cohesive messages. His contributions help advance the mission and visibility of the largest medical school in the United States.
Before joining IU, Brandon gained extensive design and brand experience working in a marketing agency as well as higher education and nonprofit sectors. He holds a degree in psychology, which provides unique insight into audience behavior and decision-making — an added strength in creating designs that resonate and communicate effectively.
