Media Relations

The IU School of Medicine Dean's Office of Strategic Communications manages media relations for the school by sharing announcements and arranging interviews for the school’s medical education and research experts. The team also manages general media inquiries about the school and provides training and guidance for faculty, staff and trainees interested in participating in media interviews.

Media Policies

Members of the media are encouraged to contact the communications office before conducting interviews or taking video/photography on campus. We can help with location information, agreements, parking details, or other information to help in the production process. Journalists should follow campus parking rules and other regulations.

The Office of Strategic Communications provides media training workshops for faculty, students and staff. These workshops can help you learn the basics of news media, improve your interviewing skills and participate in more news media opportunities.
