Introduction from the Interim Division Chief
Welcome to Pediatric Hospital Medicine! Since its founding in 2002, the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine has been improving the health and well-being of children throughout Indiana through excellence in clinical expertise, medical education, service, outreach and scholarship.
Our division supports clinical care at five hospitals within Indiana University Health, Indiana’s largest comprehensive health system, including the flagship Riley Hospital for Children. Our team provides a full spectrum of clinical expertise, including tertiary multidisciplinary care, community pediatrics, newborn nursery, neonatal and critical care.
Faculty in the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine are encouraged to grow in their professional interests through mentorship and the great resources afforded through both IU Health and the IU School of Medicine. Pediatric hospitalists are involved in educational leadership, hospital policymaking and research. Faculty in the division have been honored for their educational and scholarly activities. The group’s recognitions are numerous, but include accolades such as the Morris Green Teaching Award, ediatric faculty honor roll, IU Trustee Teaching Award, Pediatric Academic Society (PAS) Scholars, and awards from the Indiana Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
