Faculty investigators in the Division of Nephrology at IU School of Medicine conduct innovative research to ensure that patients have access to the latest advances in this field. Research here has advanced important discoveries on how to treat high blood pressure, sudden (acute) kidney injury, polycystic kidney disease and kidney stones, and this team is leading the nation in alternative dialysis strategies, including daily dialysis. This division’s mission is to advance science in order to improve the lives of patients and ensure the highest quality of care.

Basic Science Research

The Division of Nephrology is a center for cell biology on the IU School of Medicine—Indianapolis campus with particular expertise in the application of cutting-edge techniques in fluorescence microscopy and imaging.
