Post Pediatric Portal Program

The Post Pediatric Portal program at IU School of Medicine is a unique three-year combined residency training program in adult psychiatry (18 months) and child and adolescent psychiatry (18 months) available exclusively to graduates of ACGME approved pediatric residency programs. Upon successful completion of the program, trainees will be eligible for psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry board examinations.

The mission of the Post Pediatric Portal program at IU School of Medicine is to increase access to child and adolescent mental health treatment through training and education of pediatric physicians. Pediatricians will build on existing knowledge to transform into highly specialized physicians and educators utilizing their newly expanded skill sets for diagnosing and treating mental health disorders throughout the lifespan.

Post Pediatric Portal programs are overseen by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
