The Psychiatry Residency in Evansville follows a four-year progression that includes training in community clinical settings. PGY 1 residents are integrated closely with primary care residents providing a unique learning opportunity. During the PGY 3 year, residents will be required to complete a project in research or scholarly/teaching activities. Residents can continue this project in their PGY 4 year if desired. Residents in their final year will be able to select seven electives to tailor their education to their personal interests. All residents participate in robust clinical rotations and didactic lectures.
All residents receive a protected day for continuity/longitudinal clinical and didactics and the opportunity to attend journal clubs and Psychiatry Grand Rounds presentations.
