Neuroimmunology and Autoimmune Neurology

The Division of Neuroimmunology and Autoimmune Neurology in the Department of Neurology at Indiana University School of Medicine provides multidisciplinary care for individuals with multiple sclerosis and neuroinflammatory disorders of the central nervous system. The program coordinates multidisciplinary care across the spectrum of medicine including neurologic, nursing, psychological, physical therapy, rehabilitation and rheumatologic perspectives.

Department of Neurology faculty are active in educating students, residents and fellows about neuroimmunological and autoimmune neurological disease with academic rotations and formal training in this subspecialty. Faculty members also collaborate with basic scientists to research the underlying causes of these conditions and participate in clinical studies to look for improved treatments or better ways to monitor multiple sclerosis and neuroinflammatory disorders.
