Headache

The Pediatric Headache Center in the Department of Neurology at Indiana University School of Medicine operates as a multidisciplinary clinic, whose staff includes a pediatric neurologist who is board certified in headache medicine, a clinical pain psychologist, and a nurse practitioner. The center, housed at Riley Hospital for Children, is the only pediatric headache center in the state and has seen significant growth over the last decade. It offers expansive, but rational, medical management, biofeedback, cognitive behavioral therapy, cranial nerve blocks, botulinum toxin, and trigger point injections. The center specializes in difficult to treat headache disorders, and in treating headache disorders in medically complicated children.
