Program Benefits

To complement their exceptional training, residents at Indiana University School of Medicine receive competitive benefits:

  • Four weeks paid time off per academic year (20 weekdays and eight weekend days)
  • Monogrammed white coat
  • Professional liability insurance coverage for duration of training

In addition, Family Medicine Residency trainees in Indianapolis receive:

  • Five CME days per academic year
  • $10,000 CME stipend in PGY 1 year
  • $5,000 CME reimbursement in PGY 2 and PGY 3 years
  • iPad stipend
  • Reimbursement for Step 3 and ABFM certification exam fees (if completed during training)
  • Laptop provided during training
  • Butterfly ultrasound provided for use during training
