Compensation and Benefits

To complement their exceptional training, residents at IU School of Medicine Family Medicine Residency at IU Health Arnett receive competitive benefits.

Residents also receive:

  • $5,300 education stipend in PGY 1 
  • $600 relocation reimbursement in PGY 1 
  • $1,600 Continuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursement in PGY 1 for books, conferences, applications and memberships. 
  • $1,500 Continuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursement in PGY 2 and PGY 3 for books, conferences, applications and memberships.
  • Five days each academic year for CME
  • $3,500 housing stipend each training year
  • $300/month meal plan during all three training years
  • Reimbursement for USMLE/COMLEX Step 3 registration fees
  • Reimbursement for ABFM certification exam fees
  • Laptop and iPhone provided by the program
  • 28 paid vacation (20 weekday and eight weekend days) plus three sick days in each academic year
