We understand that deciding which specialty you want to study can be stressful. Based on increased feedback from each town hall meeting related to advising on elective choices, the director for Career Mentoring has collaborated with each clinical department to provide detailed materials on elective choices based on specialty interests. By making the information on each elective uniform and removing outdated content, we not only made viewing the electives more efficient, but easier to understand as well.
Additionally, we have shared a catalog of evaluations of away rotations, categorized by specialty, based on where students have rotated away from IU School of Medicine over the last few years. This catalog is intended to help students who are considering away rotation electives.
