Indiana University School of Medicine is offering a three-year combined fellowship in Hematology/Oncology and Palliative Care.
This is through an ACGME Advancing Innovation in Residency Education (AIRE) program that is coordinated by a pilot initiated by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). Graduating fellows will be board eligible for palliative care, hematology and medical oncology.
An optional fourth year is offered for trainees interested in additional research time.
Training will be integrated but each year will be focused in either Palliative Care of Hematology/Oncology: Year 1 is focused in Palliative care; Years 2 and 3 are focused in Hematology/Oncology.
