The Indiana University School of Medicine associate degree in Paramedic Science prepare graduates for a career as a paramedic. This program is available at the school's Indianapolis campus and administered through the Department of Emergency Medicine in conjunction with Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services.

Advanced Placement Policy 

In accordance with the IU Indianapolis transfer credit guidelines (see College Credit Transfer), students who complete prerequisite coursework via dual credit, prior university-level courses, or Advanced Placement (AP) programs may receive full university credit provided the coursework meets IU’s admission standards and the Paramedic Science Program’s requirement of a grade C or higher.

However, the Paramedic Science Program does not accept transfer credit from other paramedic education programs, professional training courses, or experiential learning in lieu of academic credit.
