The AS Radiography and BS Nuclear Medicine Technology programs no longer conduct interviews as part of the programs admission policy. A Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) has replaced the personal interview portion of the radiography and nuclear medicine technology programs. The TEAS test is a required part of the application for the radiography associate's degree program, even if a student has a previous college degree or has attended IU Indianapolis previously.
It is the student’s responsibility to ensure program eligibility requirements have been met before taking this test. There are no test refunds available.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is TEAS?
A strong knowledge in the areas of English, math, science, and reading comprehension correlates to a higher probability of success in the radiography program. The TEAS exam is designed specifically to assess a student’s preparedness to enter an allied health science field.
Which medical imaging programs require the test for new admissions?
- Radiography — Required for all applicants
- Nuclear Medicine Technology — Required for all applicants
- Diagnostic Sonography — Required for applicants who do not hold a healthcare related degree

Students must include their "TEAS Test score sheet" with the program application by the application deadline to be considered for the program.
