About the Diagnostic Genomics Laboratory

The Diagnostic Genomics Laboratory was founded in 2022 under the direction of Marwan Tayeh, PhD, FACMG, and Francesco Vetrini, PhD, FACMG. The laboratory is a section of the Indiana University Genetic Testing Laboratories in Indianapolis, IN.

The mission of the Diagnostic Genomics Laboratory is to provide competitive NGS-based clinical testing (somatic and germline) services to IU Health and the state of Indiana. Enabled by state-of-the-art next generation sequencing (NGS) technology and advanced bioinformatic infrastructure, the lab currently offers a disease-targeted NGS panel testing (somatic/cancer) for plasma cell myeloma (also known as multiple myeloma) and will be offering clinical genome and clinical exome diagnostic testing. Locally, we provide high quality genomics testing for the Precision Health Initiative and Undiagnosed Rare Disease Clinic.
