50th Anniversary Celebration Gala

Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026
Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art
Indianapolis, Indiana

The Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Emergency Medicine celebrated the 50th anniversary of its Emergency Medicine Residency program with a special gala at the Eiteljorg Museum in downtown Indianapolis.

The evening brought together more than 300 members of the emergency medicine community — including alumni, current residents, faculty, staff, advanced practice providers, department and school leadership, and guests — to celebrate five decades of education, service, leadership and friendship.

Guests gathered for an evening of dining, recognition, reflection and celebration. The program honored the history of the residency, recognized members of the emergency medicine community, remembered colleagues who helped shape the program and celebrated the people whose contributions have carried the residency through its first 50 years.

Throughout the evening, guests also had opportunities to reconnect with classmates and colleagues, explore the Eiteljorg Museum, enjoy live music and participate in an interactive 360 video experience.
