New and exciting contributions to emergency medicine are happening every day. Faculty, staff and students in the Department of Emergency Medicine at IU School of Medicine regularly contribute to the research and study of emergency medicine as well as the education of future practitioners.

Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Emergency Medicine Residency

The Emergency Medicine Residency program, launched in 1976 under Frank Black, MD, has steadily grown into the largest three-year emergency medicine residency in the country, known for its academic rigor and national leadership.
