Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Urology has several faculty experts that conduct research and provide clinical care in endourology. Endourology focuses on treating conditions affecting the urinary tract system or male reproductive organs. It includes minimally invasive surgical techniques to treat patients with genitourinary problems, like stone disease or benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Faculty experts are learning new ways to remove kidney stones or part of the prostate through innovative research that has earned international recognition. They also provide exceptional clinical care through the university’s partnership with Indiana University Health and train urologists to perform clinical procedures through the department’s fellowship in endourology.
