Transgenic Core

The Transgenic Core at Indiana University School of Medicine is a shared resource whose mission is to provide Indiana University and external investigators access to transgenic technologies.

The Transgenic Core is located in the Medical Library and Research Building room IB237, IB237A/B, IB250 and LARC. The core is outfitted with microinjection, surgery and cryopreservation equipment.

  • Pronuclear injection of C57BL/6 mice
  • Sperm cryopreservation with verification
  • Sperm cryopreservation without verification
  • In vitro fertilization and embryo transfer
  • Cryopreservation of IVF embryos
  • Embryo thaw and transfer
  • Cryo storage
