Giving

Generous donors make it possible for the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at the Indiana University School of Medicine to offer some of the top training programs in the United States. Thanks to generous financial support, department faculty and staff have maintained an exceptional level of training for future radiologists.

Radiology Education Fund

Philanthropic support to this endowment allows the department to offer resident education experiences beyond the regular IU School of Medicine curriculum and is essential for paying educational materials, equipment and other needs of trainees. In addition, this fund allows residents to attend the American Institute for Radiologic Pathology (AIRP) course, a four-week intensive course in Washington, D.C.

The man in the middle is not wearing a lab coat, and is slightly taller than the two people on his sides. They stand underneath a large blue sign that reads "MOI TEACHING AND REFERRAL HOSPITAL" in white lettering. Below the sign is a smaller sign that reads "MAIN ENTRANCE" with an arrow pointing toward a set of glass doors. The woman on the left is of East Asian descent, while the man on the right has a beard and is of white descent. The man in the middle has darker skin.

IU-Kenya AMPATH Radiology Program

Your donation to the AMPATH Kenya program helps build a sustainable health care system that benefits people in western Kenya. There are just three full time radiology faculty at Moi University and a total of 12 radiologists at MTRH. Overall, Kenya currently has about 200 radiologists total for a population of more than 54 million people (about one per 270,000 people). In contrast, there is one radiologist per approximately 6,000 people in the U.S. Your gift can support a variety of initiatives, including education and training for medical professionals, which is essential to improving care in the region.
