Our radiologists interpret more than 1.7 million clinical examinations and perform imaging-based procedures at facilities throughout the state of Indiana. The department is organized into 10 clinical divisions, who provide specialized clinical care to patients at the highest level. While our primary mission is to provide excellent clinical care, we also prioritize a culture of inclusivity and flexibility, allowing faculty and staff to pursue their areas of interest while maintaining a healthy work/life balance.
In addition to our clinical mission, the department is home to a thriving research program that includes a large number of research faculty. We are consistently ranked in the top institutions for grant funding and our faculty and facilities also support the research efforts of investigators throughout Indiana University and globally. Through investigator-initiated research within our department and cross-departmental team science, we strive to develop new techniques that will directly improve the lives of our patients.
It is also our mission to train the next generation of clinicians who are not only knowledgeable but also innovative and adaptable to the evolving clinical landscape. Radiology is an ever-changing field that benefits immensely from cross-disciplinary collaboration.
