Residency Training

Residents in the Indiana University School of Medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program receive substantial training in obstetrics and gynecology at multiple training sites. This program provides unique opportunities to learn to provide exceptional care for patients.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and its faculty developed the resident OB-GYN longitudinal care clinics, allowing residents the experience and satisfaction of following patients during the four years of their training. The night call rotation minimizes the number of in-house call at all hospitals.

Mission Statement

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program provides a comprehensive training program in clinical, surgical and societal aspects of health care; delivers evidence-based, compassionate, just, patient-centered care to all people in Indiana; and fosters an environment built on professional growth, camaraderie and equity.
