Friday, Aug. 28 — Continuing Medical Education Day (Medical Education and Research Building):

  • Physicians/Faculty/Alumni: $169
  • Advanced Practice Providers: $89
  • Residents/Fellows: Free (Space is limited to 60 Residents and Fellows. Promotional code required — please email iusmem@iu.edu)

 

Saturday, August 29, 2026 — 50th Anniversary Gala (The Eiteljorg Museum):

  • Physicians/Faculty/Alumni and guests: $150 early bird; $175 after March 20
  • Non-physician/Residents/Fellows and guests: $50 early bird; $75 after March 20

*Please make sure to include the name of your plus one for the gala during the registration process.

 

Faculty can pay for a resident to attend the gala in their place. This must be done through the registration page, and the resident name must be given at this time.

Yes. All registration payment cancellations must be received 30 days prior to the activity date for a full refund. 

If registration payment cancellation is made at least two weeks prior to the activity date, a partial refund of 50% is allowable.

No registration payment refund is available for cancellations made after that point, unless cause of cancellation is due to unforeseen extenuating circumstances. The date your request is received by our office will be considered the cancellation date. Requests received after the refund deadline will not be processed.

Discounts and promotional codes are available to current residents and fellows. They may attend the CME event free of charge. Residents and fellows should request a promotional code by emailing iusmem@iu.edu prior to registration. Availability is limited and codes will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that promotional codes are not available for the gala.

No. Attendees are welcome to register for and attend one or both events. Each event is designed to stand on its own, so you may choose the option that best fits your schedule and interests.

This event will be held in person only. We look forward to gathering together to celebrate this milestone anniversary and reconnect face-to-face. 

All alumni, faculty, staff, advanced practice providers and current residents and fellows are welcome to attend. We look forward to celebrating this milestone together with everyone who has been part of our program’s history and community.

No. Attendees must be registered in advance of the events. There will be no same day registration.

Yes. Spouses, partners and guests are welcome to attend the gala. Please be sure to include any guests when you register so we can plan accordingly.

Yes. A special 50th Anniversary shop will be available offering commemorative items that can be purchased online. More details and a link to the shop will be shared soon.

Dress code varies by event. Attendees are welcome to wear IU School of Medicine gear, items purchased from the anniversary swag shop and/or business casual attire for the CME event. The evening gala is a formal event, and guests are encouraged to dress accordingly.

Yes! We warmly invite alumni, faculty and friends of the program to share photos, memories and stories to help celebrate our 50th Anniversary. Please email your submissions to iusmem@iu.edu. Selected materials may be featured during the event or in commemorative materials. Thank you for helping us honor the history and community of our residency program.

Yes. Light snacks and beverages will be provided during the CME event. The evening gala will include hors d’oeuvres, dinner, dessert and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for attendees to enjoy.

A photographer will be present through the day to document the event. Please note that by attending, you are consenting to the possibility that you may appear in photographs shared or published by the Department of Emergency Medicine on our website, newsletters, social media or other promotional materials. If you do not want your photo taken, please email iusmem@iu.edu prior to the event and we will do our best to accommodate you.
