The Department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Pharmacology is involved in teaching Phase 1 courses in the IU School of Medicine MD curriculum. Phase 1 curriculum occurs in the first two years of medical school and focuses on developing foundational science knowledge with an emphasis on the basic sciences.
Third- and fourth-year medical students at IU School of Medicine can choose from specialized electives that reflect the expertise of our faculty, such as Drugs, A History; Pharmacology Case Development; and Biochemistry of Disease.
