The Charles H. Turner Young Investigator Bone Research Award is a travel award to support trainees at all levels from undergraduate to postdoctoral fellows/residents at the Indiana University School of Medicine, IU Indianapolis or Purdue University to attend the Advances in Mineral Metabolism (AIMM) meeting on April 7-11 in Snowmass Village, CO, or the ORS Musculoskeletal Biology Workshop on July 19-24 in Midway, UT.
Applications for the 2025 award cycle are now closed. Selection notifications will be sent out mid-January.
The recipient or recipient’s laboratory is responsible for any costs exceeding the award amount, which covers event registration and a $2,000 allowance. The award is given based on a competitive evaluation of submitted abstracts. Abstracts should be no more than 500 words (excluding, title, authors and affiliations). In addition to the abstract, the applicant must complete the application form, and upload their updated NIH biosketch explaining in the personal statement why the participation in the workshop or meeting will benefit your career.
