About Matthew

Matthew Holley, PhD, is an assistant dean of faculty affairs and professional development. Dr. Holley is also vice-chair of faculty & staff affairs and professional development and assistant clinical professor in the Department of Family Medicine. In his assistant dean role, Matt directs the Academy of Teaching Scholars and the Peer Review of Teaching programs, which are designed to help faculty develop evidence-based teaching skills to support learners across the system. His academic research focuses on medical student education, faculty development, inclusive teaching, organizational leadership, and LGBTQ+ healthcare. Matt teaches in various IU School of Medicine courses including Foundations of Clinical Practice and Health Systems Science. He holds a PhD, MS and MA degrees from Indiana University, and a BA from Millikin University (IL).
