About Nyra
Nyra Buckner is the executive assistant to Executive Associate Dean Mary Dankoski and Senior Associate Dean Megan Palmer in Faculty Affairs and Professional Development (FAPD). She also supports the work of the Faculty Steering Committee (FSC), Faculty Development Coordinating Committee (FDCC) and various FAPD programs.
A results-driven professional with more than 10 years of experience in leadership and management roles, Nyra enjoys solving complex problems, fostering effective teamwork and enhancing operational efficiency. Before coming to FAPD in 2025, Nyra held roles in various community and health care organizations, including IU Health Physicians. She is currently working toward her master's degree in business administration.
Nyra enjoys reading, writing, crafting and traveling. She loves to visit waterfalls, aims to visit four of the seven wonders of the world (on her bucket list!) and would name her yacht (if she had one) "Everforward," because, as she says, "This is how I view my life: ever moving forward."
