The Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Emergency Medicine seeks a bold and visionary leader to serve as Chief, Pediatric Emergency Medicine. The vision of the department is to improve the health and well-being of every life entrusted to us. We will accomplish this by caring for others like they are family, teaching the ways our favorite teachers taught us, boldly innovating to improve the care we deliver and developing leaders who transform emergency medicine.
The priorities outlined in our five-year strategic plan are to:
- Set the national standard for emergency care
- Reduce healthcare disparities in our emergency departments
- Shape emergency medical education
- Develop the future leaders of emergency medicine
- Ensure our people thrive
- Create and sustain a diverse, equitable, inclusive and just culture
The department is home to one of the oldest emergency medicine residency programs, oldest combined emergency medicine and pediatrics residency program and four fellowship programs within the division.
