Luncheon, leadership interview and reception to honor Dean Hess

Before his retirement in July, IU School of Medicine Dean Jay Hess, MD, PhD, MHSA, will sit down for a fireside chat-style interview about his leadership, proudest moments and hopes for the school's future. The Stephen P. Bogdewic Lectureship in Medical Leadership event will be held April 30.

Remember: Faculty annual reviews are due April 30

All full-time faculty — including tenured, tenure-track, clinical-track, scientist-track, librarians, lecturers and affiliate faculty, as well as those who underwent post-tenure reviews this season — must undergo a faculty annual review by April 30. Reviews must be completed through Elements. Resources are available to help.

Participate in fun, laughter and friendly competition

Gather a team of four to eight colleagues — or register as an individual and be teamed up with new members of your professional network — who hope their useless knowledge will pay off in bragging rights at the inaugural Faculty Trivia Night, June 3. (You don't need a team name until the night of the event. Register now!)

Our Team

With a shared focus on fostering excellence in teaching, research, clinical care and service, our team is passionate about empowering faculty members to thrive and make a lasting impact in academic medicine.

(We also like to come together to do good and have fun. At left, the FAPD team partnered with Random Acts of Flowers to create dozens of bouquets of flowers for patients at IU Health and other central Indiana hospitals.)
