Fifty-seven IU School of Medicine faculty educators are being recognized by the IU Board of Trustees as this year's Trustees' Teaching Award winners.
The award honors passionate educators who take a learner-centered approach to teaching, demonstrating excellence by using effective, active and engaging teaching strategies which create a welcoming environment for learners.
Winners are faculty and librarians who have demonstrated a sustained level of teaching excellence and have completed at least three years of service to the IU School of Medicine. The school community recognizes and commends the winners’ commitments to excellence in teaching its future leaders in medicine.
The winners from the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine are Nichole LePage, MD, and Brandon Umphress, MD. Congratulations, and well done, to them both!
