It is with great pleasure that the Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine shares the details of its residency program's incoming PGY-1 class of new residents.

The residency program mirrors the growth in the rest of the department, which has invested resources to grow the pipeline of excellent pathologists in Indiana. The program is fortunate to have recruited an exceptional group of five individuals. Like last year and the year before, all matched trainees were in the top 25 positions of the program's rank list (with a critical mass in the top 10 this year!) — a truly remarkable feat which reflects the candidates’ excitement about the many improvements currently underway in the department.

"We are confident that our new residents will find our department to be a welcoming environment that enables them to learn, thrive and reach their full potentials," said John-Paul Lavik, MD, PhD, director of the residency program. "We are excited to welcome our new residents when they arrive in July."
