About Heather
Heather Courter is the events manager for Faculty Affairs and Professional Development (FAPD). She studied film and video production at Columbia College Chicago and developed a strong interest in the collaborative, behind-the-scenes work that eventually led her into event management and production.
Heather spent more than a decade in New York City working across creative, corporate, community-based and client-facing environments. Her work has ranged from producing experiential events and an internal speaker series during her time in media production, to planning private gatherings and community programming, to supporting large-scale projects and brand experiences.
She has worked in healthcare operations and events since being back in the Midwest, deepening her interest in meaningful, people-centered work.
Heather loves being outdoors with her dog, Cherry, as much as possible, spending time with her family and friends, writing, water-coloring and exploring new places.
