Using the Indiana Center for Biological Microscopy

The Indiana Center for Biological Microscopy (ICBM) offers expert support in all aspects of microscopy and image analysis. The microscopy facilities can be used in one of two ways. Investigators may be trained to use the microscope or image analysis systems, which they may use independently with as much or as little support as they like.  Alternatively, investigators may hire ICBM staff to conduct studies on their behalf.

In either case, researchers will work closely with the ICBM to identify the microscope system that best suits their studies and assist with the design, conduct and interpretation of their studies. The ICBM also provides consultation and letters of support to strengthen proposals for funding.
