The Resource Development Core develops advanced technologies to help renal investigators realize the promise of quantitative, large-scale microscopy as a tool for understanding kidney function and disease.
The current goals of the Resource Development Core are to develop:
- Unique multi-scale/multi-resolution approach to imaging the rodent and human kidney.
- Automated methods of digital image analysis to quantitatively enumerate and characterize the cells and structures of the kidney and their relationships throughout the kidney.
- Methods to integrate protein imaging and transcriptomic data into a single image and data space.
