About Kayla

Kayla joined the IU School of Medicine's Office of Gift Development in the Spring of 2024. As the associate director of development, she helps to lead strategy and implementation of leadership annual giving with a primary focus on nurturing our Dean's Council members who generously support our mission with annual gifts of $2,500 and above. Kayla also has the privilege of managing two essential groups of dedicated volunteers — Dean's Council Board of Directors, a dedicated volunteer-based board of donors committed to advancing medical education and research at IU School of Medicine, and the Diversity Recruitment Scholarship Committee, overseeing their efforts to support and promote diversity within the student body. Kayla's expertise extends to scholarships, alumni relations and neurosciences, where she leads all aspects of endowed mentorship campaigns and third-party campaigns.

Her career path began with over a decade in the wine and spirits industry, where she cultivated relationships with top accounts across greater Indianapolis. A recent transition into philanthropy led her to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, where she served as campaign development manager for Light The Night, discovering her passion for health care and deepening her commitment to community impact.

As an alum of Indiana University, Kayla is honored to contribute to advancing IU School of Medicine's mission. Kayla cherishes time with her family and friends outside of her professional endeavors. She finds joy in live music events, tending to her garden and engaging in meaningful community initiatives that enrich the lives of those around her.
