About Freddy
Freddy believes successful fundraising begins with genuine relationships. His approach is grounded in listening with care, acting with integrity and building trust that lasts well beyond any individual gift.
He joined the Indiana University School of Medicine Office of Gift Development in May 2026 as senior director of development. In this role, he supports the Department of Surgery and its nine clinical divisions, as well as the Departments of Orthopedic Surgery and Otolaryngology.
Freddy began his career in the arts as a professional actor, performing on and off Broadway, in major regional theaters and on television. He later transitioned into nonprofit fundraising for arts and cultural organizations before moving into higher education development.
Prior to joining the School of Medicine, Freddy served as director of development for IU’s Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design. He previously held development roles in higher education, including director of development for Seton Hall University’s Stillman School of Business.
Outside of work, Freddy enjoys playing music, making art and just about anything that gets him outdoors, particularly trail running and rock climbing. His greatest joy and privilege is raising his three young daughters with his wife.
