About Lilian

Lilian Plotkin, PhD, is the assistant dean for research faculty development, focusing her time on supporting faculty whose focus is research. She obtained her degree in immunology at the Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dr. Plotkin joined the School of Medicine faculty in 2008 and is a professor of anatomy, cell biology and physiology. Most recently, she was the inaugural recipient of the school's Inclusive Research Laboratory Award. Dr. Plotkin is a mentor for I3 and LAMP programs at IU School of Medicine, as well as for the THRIVE program from the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research. She has served since 2020 on both the school promotion and tenure committee and lecturer and clinical faculty promotions committee; and served as a member of the IU Indianapolis promotion and tenure committee in 2024 as well.
