IU Pathology wins awards at ASC 2025

IU Pathology is proud to announce that Assistant Clinical Profession and Cytotechnology Program Education Coordinator Josh Howell assumed the presidency of American Society for Cytology on Saturday, May 3 and was honored during the ASC meeting in Reno, NV

Josh and IU graduate Madison Rector were awarded the Allen Award for Excellence in Writing for an article published in the August edition of the organization’s newsletter The Voice. The topic was the sustained success of our state professional organization, The Cytology Society of Indiana.

Current IU Cytotechnology students Taylor Curry and Michael Vujnovich presented their interesting cases on Saturday, May 3. Michael was awarded first place.

Also, during the conference Mohammad Amin Mustafa, MD gave two well received lectures. It was a very successful conference for IU faculty and students!
