Your NRMP rank list must be certified and submitted by 9 pm ET on Wednesday, March 5, to participate in the Match. You can see your Main Residency Match status by logging into the R3 system.
If User Status is "Certified," Fee Status is "Paid," and Verification Status is "Verified," you're all set for the Match. There is nothing left to do.
Remember to add your NRMP ID to your ERAS application! See the NRMP fees page for a fee breakdown associated with submitting your rank list.
If you interviewed with Preliminary or TY programs, remember to include them at the bottom of your Primary Rank List—not just on the Supplemental Rank List. This will create a safety net in the Match by allowing these programs to be considered for your primary Match if you were to be unmatched in your preferred specialty.
Programs listed only on the Supplemental Rank Lists cannot be considered for a primary match and will only be considered once an applicant matches into an Advanced spot.
If you didn't participate in the regular Match process and plan to participate in SOAP, you must be registered with the NRMP by Tuesday, March 4. Send an email to Debra Rusk, MD, and to the registrar, Amanda Ybarra. Let them know so you can be certified for SOAP participation.
If you have questions, reach out to Rusk or your lead advisors.
