Second-year IU School of Medicine students Ben Holland and Carl Russell showcased groundbreaking research at the International Neonatal Nephrology Symposium and collaborated with leading experts in the field.

Ben Holland and Carl Russell pose in front of a sign at the International Neonatal Nephrology Symposium.Second-year IU School of Medicine students Ben Holland and Carl Russell presented their research posters at the International Neonatal Nephrology Symposium, held Sept. 11-15 at the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

After their abstracts were accepted for posters, Holland presented his clinical research, working alongside Michelle Starr, MD, and Cara Slagle, MD, through IMPRS.

Russell, meanwhile, showcased his pre-clinical research under the guidance of Danielle Soranno, MD, and Cara Slagle, MD, through MSTP.

They were joined by others representing the amazing neonatal nephrology research completed at IU this summer.

Huge congratulations to both for successfully presenting their research—Ben through IMPRS and Carl through MSTP.
