Why I chose Family Medicine: I have always been drawn to aspects of medicine that extend beyond diagnosis alone. During my clinical training and community work, I saw how significantly a patient’s health is influenced by social and environmental factors, and how often these are overlooked.  Some of the most meaningful experiences for me came from taking the time to listen-whether that led to identifying a missed diagnosis or simply ensuring that a patient felt heard. These experiences shaped my decision to pursue family medicine, where I can serve as a first point of contact, build longitudinal relationships, and provide care that is both comprehensive and patient-centered.  Why I chose the IU Family Medicine Residency Program: IU stood out for its strong clinical training and genuinely supportive environment. I was looking for a program that would challenge me while also providing mentorship and balance, and IU offered both.  The diverse patient population, well-rounded training, and the culture I experienced during my interactions made it feel like the right place to grow.  Interests and hobbies: Swimming, badminton, cooking (and experimenting in the kitchen), photography, and planning small get-togethers with friends. I also enjoy puzzles and anything that challenges me to think.
